|Guzhov A.V. (2009) Revision of genus Discohelix Dunker, 1847 (Gastropoda, Discohelicidae) from Jurassic of Russia and Ukraine // Bull. Soc. Natur. Moscow, sect. geol. Vol.84. Issue 4. P.47-57. |
The restudy of gastropod specimens described as Discohelix in papers by Pcelincev and Gerasimov have been curried out. Next material was revised: D. orbis Reuss, 1952 from Pliensbachian of the Caucasus, D. abrupta (Cossmann, 1885), D. cf. hoernesi (Laube, 1868) and D. plana (Pcelincev, 1927), all from Upper Bajocian and Bathonian of the Crimea, and D. cf. tuberculosa (Thorent, 1839) from Callovian of the Caucasus. Most of species are illustrated for the first time and their systematic position was reconsidered. D. orbis redesignated as D. ex gr. orbis, D. abrupta — D. sp. ind., D. plana — Kosmomphalus sp., D. cf. hoernesi — D. ? alta (d'Orbigny, 1853), and D. cf. tuberculosa — D. ex gr. excerta (Hudleston, 1892). For D. alternata Gerasimov, 1992 from Middle Callovian of the Moscow Region the new description was given. D. aff. guembeli (Ammon, 1893) from Lower Callovian of the Crimea and D. rogovi sp. nov. from Upper Callovian of the Voronezh Region were described on new materials.
