Énay R., Branger P., Belligaud G. (2012) Un nouveau témoin des apports sud-téthysiens dans le Poitou: une espèce de Micromphalites d’origine arabique près de niort, France // Revue de Paléobiologie, Genève. Vol.31. no.1. P.63-70.

The paper deals with a new check sample of South Tethyan immigrants from Arabian origin in the Poitou area. The place of the finding and the Banc Pourri unit in the Trotte-Buie quarry of Mougon, near Niort (Deux-Sèvres), are described and the anc Pourri unit well dated as Early Bathonian, Zigzag Zone, Macrescens Subzone. Though it is not well preserved, the Micromphalites from Mougon enters well into the species M. elegans arkell, a form already known from Nevers area. Its signification is discussed both within the regional framework of the south Tethyan taxa arrivals and the global palaeobiogeography of the Jurassic faunas
