The foraminiferan genus Recurvoides Earland was studied in the most representative Siberian outcrops of the Volgian–Hauterivian stages. A collection from boreholes drilled in Western Siberia and Barents Sea was used for comparison. A stability of morphological features together with quantitative and size parameters of foraminiferan tests were analyzed. Ontogenetic variations in quantity and size distribution of the tests can be used as a tool for species distinction. Comparison between different-age assemblages revealed patterns of ontogenetic variations in five species of the genus Recurvoides subsequently replacing each other in the Volgian–Hauterivian stratigraphic record of Siberia. The established patterns allowed diagnosis revisions of the following species: Recurvoides praeobskiensis Dain et Bulynnikova (Upper Volgian–boreal Berriasian); R. romanovae Putrja (uppermost Volgian–Lower Valanginian); R. obskiensis Romanova (uppermost boreal Berriasian–Lower Hauterivian); R. tigjanikus Marinov (Valanginian–Lower Hauterivian); R. nordvikensis Marinov (Lower Hauterivian).
