A condensed section of the Ammonitico Rosso facies has been described and studied for the first
time in East Crimea. The Middle Callovian age of the sediment sequence was justified based on ammonites (the Reineckeia anceps zone). It is assumed that the sequence formed due to a eustatic rise of the sea level (sequence J2.4). Some important Lower and Middle Callovian ammonites from the studied section are figured
