This brief article devoted to macrocephalidie species, described from the Lower Callovian of the N. Caucasus by Lominadze (1967). In the article devoted to the systematic position of the Eckhardites Mitta (2009, see http://ejurassic.ucoz.ru/forum/6-109-125-16-1234387941 ) considered this species as belonging to Bathonian Kepplerites (Kosmoceratidae). Macrocephalites tcherekensis is re-figures here, including photograph of its cross-section. Without doubts this ammonite, as pointed out by Lominadze, should be belonging to Macrocephalites genus.
