Geological heritage of the Yaroslavl region, including many Mesozoic and few Quaternary geosites are described in details, and typical fossils of the Triassic - Hauterivian age are figured. For the Triassic they are mainly represented by terrestrial and brakish faunas and floras, while Middle Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous deposits were accumulated under full marine conditions
