The Middle Volgian foraminifers are investigated in the Aiyuva River section for the first time. They comprise the Beds with Dorothia tortuosa – Saracenaria pravoslavlevi assemblage which belongs to Lenticulina infravolgensis –Saracenaria pravoslavlevi Zone established on the East European Platform
