Lower Jurassic deposits in Western Siberia mainly represented by terrestrial to lagoonal facies, and only Toarcian records of marine fossils (bivalves, forams etc) were known. Here an ammonite from the Middle Toarcian of the Western Siberia (Dactylioceras aff. commune) described and figured for the first time
