The morphology of a bivalve genus Meleagrinella is studied based on extensive material from the Volgian deposits in the borehole section Vostok 3 drilled in southeast of Western Siberia (the Azharma structural facies district). Biometrical analyses proved that the studied sample of Meleagrinella belonged to a single population of the species Meleagrinella lata Turbina, 1984. The analyses of ontogenetic and intraspecifi c sculpture variation allowed a revised description of the species M. lata Turbina 1984, together with establishing M. recta Turbina 1984 as a younger synonym of M. lata Turbina, 1984.
