Matlay L.M. (2009) Biostratigraphical subdivision of Upper Tithonian and Berriasian deposits of Eastern Crimea by calcareous nannoplancton // Geol. Journ. (Ukraine). no.2. P.24-33 (in Ukrainian)

pdf: http://www.nbuv.gov.ua/portal/natural/geolj/2009_2/GJ_2009_2_03.pdf

Calcareous nannofossils have been investigated from samples collected from two sections located in the Eastern Crіmea. The Upper Tithonian section can be divided into two subzones based on the nannofossils assemblages: NJKa, NJKc (Bralower a. о., 1989). Rich and diverse nannofossils assemblages from Berriasian section have been identified with Nannoconus steinmanni Zone (Bralower a. о., 1989). From the Latest Tithonian to the Berriasian, the nannofloras are of entirely Tethyan character.
